We at Quirky Races will be putting on our own events which of course will have the most original and unique concepts we can come up with. We have lots of ideas and intend to make as many of them happen as possible.
26/10/18 – Hallowine Run
5 spooky 1km laps in the dark including going through the ghostly woods with some scary surprises along the way all made a little less frightening by a glass of wine for Dutch courage after each lap and ending with a glow in the dark medal for all survivors!
7.30pm start. £15 gets you run entry, glow stick, free parking, 4 glasses of wine on route and a medal. ONLY 50 PLACES AVAILABLE!
The route is all on grass and trail and will be marked with glow sticks and marshals dressed up to give you a surprise along the way. Halloween themed fancy dress is hugely encouraged and a torch is mandatory for all competitor.
There is a fully licensed permanent indoor bar at the venue (The Obelisk Centre) where we’d love to see everyone for a drink afterwards. Every lap will start and finish inside a huge marquee.
Due to this run involving alcohol it’s for strictly over 18’s only.

18/08/18 – Strongman Run
We hosted a special Strongman Run timetrial event at the Family Fun Day at the Obelisk Centre in Northampton.
A 200m course involving 3 runs up and down a steep hill carrying either a sandbag or a tyre then 3 burpees and a sprint to the finish line. There was a live leaderboard throughout the day with free entry to one of our future events for the fastest man, woman, boy and girl.

The more you run the more chocolate you earn! Run as many half mile laps as you like in one hour. Chocolate at the end of each lap and an Easter themed medal at the finish.
December 2017- Christmas virtual Run for The Lewis Foundation
This was another chance for anyone who missed our Christmas Mince Pie Run to get thier hands on the fabulous glittery Santa medal and raise some funds for the amazing charity, The Lewis Foundation at the same time. There was also an alternative running Santa medal on offer for anyone who did the Mince Pie Run. All that was required was to run 5KM while doing something quirky.
100% of entry fees for this run went directly to the charity. The Lewis Foundation provides gift packs to patients receiving cancer treatment at the Talbot Butler Ward at Northampton General Hospital.
We had some great entries including a backwards running 5km, a parkrun conga, a solo mince pie run and a bride and groom/ stag and hen parkrun effort.
